Custom Rocker Switches can be used to replace the traditional rotary pulse generators of the analog resistance potentiometer. These rotary switches are usually used in the human-machine interface of the front panel of the instrument and the audio-visual control board. The rotary switches use orthogonal optical encoders instead of analog potentiometers These purely digital devices, these rotary switches are similar in appearance to traditional or resistive potentiometers, but the internal structure of these rotary switches is completely digital and uses optical technology. Similar to traditional incremental encoder products, there are two orthogonal output signals (channel A and channel B), which can be directly connected to the encoder processing chip.

Rotary switch is a switch that controls the main contact to open and close by rotating the handle. There are also two structural forms of Automotive Rotary Switches, which are a unipolar unit structure and a multi-pole multi-position structure. Single-pole unit rotary switches are often used together with rotary potentiometers in applications, while multi-pole and multi-position rotary switches are mostly used for switching the working state circuit.
